I am a roboticist, designer, and engineer based in California (split between Los Angeles and the Bay Area). Currently I am working on developing socially interactive embodied agents in the Interaction Lab and Embodied as well as through a number of different consulting projects. My interests are centered around scalable methods for developing interactive agents as well as intuitive interaction design for interactive machine learning products.
As a Stamps Scholar at USC, I received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Robotics and Control Systems and am on leave from an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Design and Dynamics. My work is focused on building robots for humans by teaching them how to move, studying how they should look, and bringing them from the research labs out into the real world.
In my free time I enjoy the outdoors (skiing, golfing, surfing, cycling, etc.), read, take photos, build robots, and work on cars. I'm also very interested in the entrepreneurial landscape and do my best to keep up with the most recent happenings in the startup world, especially in robotics, design, and artificial intelligence.
